Terms and Conditions for Suppliers
Introduction
Viking-Resources relies on honesty and professional dealings at all levels.
Its is our wish and intention to do the best for both our Purchasers and our Suppliers so that we all benefit.
It is expected that Suppliers will deal honestly with us, and that any sales concluded as a result of an introduction via Viking-Resources will attract commission due us.
Likewise, we will endeavour to present Suppliers products in the best light possible, and obtain maximum exposure within our environment.
Communication
We request that all correspondence with Purchasers introduced by us be via Viking-Resources, or as a minimum that we are copied on any direct correspondence.
Communication from Purchasers via the web-site will be collected centrally by Viking-Resources.
These messages will be forwarded to the appropriate supplier in the event that we are unable to respond ourselves.
We aim to respond to Purchasers queries within 48 hours of receipt, and for this reason, where practicable, we ask that our Suppliers respond to our queries within 18 hours, even if it is just a message to inform us that a more detailed reply will follow.
Unless authorised by a Supplier, we will not issue any direct contact details to prospective Purchasers.
We will not normally issue Purchasers details to a Supplier until a firm order is received.
Pricing
Prices displayed on this web-site or quoted to the Purchaser must always include Viking-Resources commission.
When price information is put on this web-site, the Supplier will be invited to review their web-pages for accuracy of price and description. It is the responsibility of the Supplier to check this information and inform Viking-Resources of any errors found.
All prices will be those in force and confirmed at the time of quotation to the Purchaser.
Any price quotation is valid for 30 calendar days from issue to the Purchaser.
Any errors in pricing provided to Viking-Resources will be to the account of the Supplier.
Any errors in pricing passed to a Purchaser by Viking-Resources will be to the account of Viking-Resources.
Delivery Times
Delivery times quoted to the Purchaser should be maintained to the best of the Suppliers ability.
Delivery time is to be confirmed by the Supplier at the time of receipt of order.
On long lead time items, it is quite in order to give an estimate of delivery with a confirmation to be provided at a later date.
Any delay in delivery should immediately be informed to Viking-Resources who will pass this information to the Purchaser.
In the event that a delivery period is significantly extended over that originally quoted, the Purchaser may cancel the order.
In this case, the Purchaser will receive a full refund of any deposit paid.
In the event that delivery delay is requested by the Purchaser, agreement between Viking-Resources and the Supplier shall
determine if there is to be a cost adjustment.
Order Placement, Acceptance & Cancellation
An order will be deemed to have been accepted by Viking-Resources on behalf of the Supplier on confirmation by email or in writing.
In some cases, a deposit may be requested from the Purchaser prior to an order being accepted.
This deposit is held by Viking-Resources until completion of the order for total order values of less than £ 100.
For orders of a value £ 100 or more, half of the deposit will be forwarded to the Supplier.
In the event of the Supplier being unable to fulfil the order, this deposit will without prejudice, be refunded in full to the Purchaser.
In the event of cancellation by the Purchaser, the deposit is non-refundable. Half will be retained by Viking-Resources, the balance will be payable to the Supplier.
Packing, Carriage & Insurance
Suppliers are to ship finished goods directly to the Purchaser by courier or recorded delivery.
Unless otherwise stated, prices are ex-works; i.e. carriage & packing is charged extra.
Confirmation of cost is to be notified to Viking-Resources at time of shipping for passing on to Purchaser.
If a Purchaser requests insurance, items are to be insured by the Supplier for their full re-instatement value. The costs for this are also to be notified to Viking-Resources for passing on to Purchaser.
Viking-Resources do not charge commission on Packing, Carriage & Insurance costs.
Invoices & Payment
Viking-Resources will settle Suppliers accounts in full within 5 working days of recipt of full payment from the Purchaser.
Payment will be made by business cheque, or Paypal.
We are ivestigating the possibility of using online banking so we may be able to speed this up!
In the event of non-payment by a Purchaser, Viking-Resources will take responsibility for recovery of the debt.
If the debt is deemed irrecoverable, 50% of the manufacturing value to the Supplier of the goods will be bourne by Viking-Resources. This value is limited to materials, postage & packing, insurance and reasonable labour charges.
It is expected that the Supplier will be able to provide documentary evidence of this cost on request.
Title to Goods
All goods remain the property of the Supplier until payment is made in full by Viking-Resources.
V.A.T., Taxes & Customs Clearance
Viking-Resources is not VAT registered so VAT is not charged.
Any local taxes or customs clearance is the responsibility of the Purchaser. Viking-Resources will issue pro-forma invoices for customs purposes on request.
Liabilty
Viking-Resources accept no liability for any loss, direct or consequential resulting from use/misuse of our products or services.
Refunds
We strive to ensure satisfaction with purchases from Viking-Resources.
If the Purchaser is not 100% satisfied, Suppliers will replace the goods, or refund the purchasers money at their own cost.
Guarantee
All goods sold through Viking-Resources carry a 6 month guarantee against faulty workmanship or materials.
Suppliers will support this policy at their own cost.
This period runs from date of despatch of the goods concerned.
This guarantee does not cover damage or injury sustained through misuse of any of our products.
This guarantee does not affect statutory rights.
Variations to these Terms
These Terms may only be altered by written consent of the Proprietor of Viking-Resources.
Governing Law
All contracts entered into by Viking-Resources are governed by English Law.
