Introduction

One of the things we have found in the re-enactment world is the number of small traders out there which without attending the right shows, trade fairs or knowing the right people you would never find out about.

Many of these traders don't make a living from their craft activities or advertise, but are more concerned with providing good quality authentic items for fellow re-enactors at very reasonable prices.

Our aim is to provide an online market place for traders to show their wares, and a shop window for re-enactors.

What we do

We will build, host and maintain an online catalogue of each suppliers wares on this website from pictures and descriptions provided.

The setting up, hosting and ongoing maintenance of this catalogue is FREE OF CHARGE.

All we ask in return is a 10 percent commission (minimum £1.00 on total transaction) on all sales made through the site, or, sales resulting from an introduction through the site.

So if you are a trader looking for online advertising space, without the hassle of setting up and maintaining your own website, come and join us.

Joining Viking-Resources

Invitations to join Viking-Resources can be made by Personal Invitation of the proprietor, or application by Email to Kath, or telephone +44 (0)1962 713 246.

Viking-Resources are under no obligation to accept a Supplier, and may refuse any application without giving a reason.

What Happens Next ?

Once you have been accepted as a Supplier by Viking-Resources, you will need to provide us with pictures, descriptions and pricing information of your goods.

Pictures should be provided as either prints or digital images. Obviously, the better the quality of the images, the better we can present your items. Ideally, images should be digital, 800 x 600 resolution or higher in JPG format.

It is your reponsibility to ensure that any descriptions of your goods are accurate in terms of what you are supplying, and authenticity.

When you give us your prices, be very clear;
Does the price include our commission?
Does the price include postage & packing?
Are there any options (ie Silver Plating for Jewellery)?

We will build your web-pages from this information; When they are ready to be incorporated into the main site, you will be invited to confirm that it meets your satisfaction and all of the information contained therein is accurate. The pages will then be incorporated into the rest of the site.

Periodically, you may provide us with updates, and these will be incorporated into the site.

What do we expect from You?

We expect you to be as good as your word, and any promises we make on your behalf are just as binding on you.
