Educational Visits to Museums and Schools

Bringing the Viking Age to life!

Katla

Viking Resources provide educational visits by costumed re-enactors to museums, schools and other events.

We present National Curriculum KS2 Invaders and Settlers material relating to the migration and viking periods from the point of view of both the Vikings and the Anglo-Saxons.

We are based near Winchester, Hampshire, and cover the whole of central southern England.
For regions outside this area, please contact The Vikings who will be able to suggest alternative visitors in your area.

What do we cover?

Our highly knowledgeable re-enactors, with the aid of stories, authentic props and skills demonstrations present such topics as;

Students are encouraged to handle props, interact with the re-enactors and take parts in stories and demonstrations.

Displays can be general, or tailored to focus on particular aspects to fit in with classroom activities

Cost

Our costs are negotiable, but as a guide, we charge £250 per day for up to two re-enactors, plus £100 for each additional re-enactor.

Fuel is charged at 40p per mile per vehicle, and other receipted expenses at cost.

We normally expect our clients to provide public liability insurance, however, if this is not possible, we may provide our own at an additional cost of 10% of the total fee.

Our charges are on a per day basis, and do not vary with the number of students or duration.

For your peace of mind, all Viking Resources personnel hold as a minimum a standard CRB disclosure statement renewed every 3 years.
